STA. BARBARA, Pangasinan – In response to the institute’s core values which is innovation and excellence, the Agricultural Training Institute–Regional Training Center I administered the Training on Developing Winning Proposals for Project Support held on August 5-9, 2019 at ATI-RTC 1, Tebag East, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan.
A total of 29 participants from different municipalities of Pangasinan and La Union learned to improve their skills in developing quality project proposals which will help them in the preparation and the implementation of projects and activities. They also learned about preparatory work before writing the proposals, how to identify problems and come up with solutions, and how to exercise the presentation of their outputs.
“Nagpapasalamat ako sa ATI-RTC 1 sa walang sawang pag-conduct ng mga trainings na makatutulong sa amin,” Ms. Freshee Grace Estimada of LGU-Binalonan expressed her gratitude during the closing program. “Hindi lamang paggawa ng proposal ang aming natutunan kundi kung paano palalawakin ang aming kaisipan sa pagbibigay ng solusyon sa problema at makagawa ng mga proyektong makakatulong sa aming komunidad na pinaglilingkuran,” she added.
Prior to this (Phase II) training, ATI-RTC I also conducted its Phase I – Training on Project Needs Assessment for Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) last June 24-28, 2019 at ATI-RTC I. With the same participants of Phase II, the training was intended to equip (the participants) with skills in analyzing the gap and problems of their clients and identifying solutions to a specific situation.
“Nandito lang ang ATI to support you through trainings na ikadadagdag ng inyong galing sa paglilingkod sa ating komunidad at mga LGU,” Jovito Laca, CDMSS OIC-Section Chief, said as a response to the impression of the participants.
Both trainings were implemented to continuously support interventions under the Rice Program. ATI-RTC I, as the training arm of the Department of Agriculture, continues to explore various strategies to improve the delivery of their extension services through strengthening the capability of its clienteles.
