ESPs learn to tell the untold

BATAC CITY, Ilocos Norte and ROSARIO, La Union - To enable extension service providers (ESPs) to prepare their best extension practices through learning the proper documentation and packaging process, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center I (ATI-RTC I) conducted two batches of the Training on Extension Project Documentation and Packaging for ESPs in Region 1.

The first batch, which comprised 23 agricultural extension workers (AEWs) and three farmer cooperators, was conducted last July 4-6 at the ATI-RTC I Satellite Training Center, Batac City, Ilocos Norte. The second batch, which involved 30 AEWs and 8 farmer cooperators, was held at the LG Agri-Tourism Resort, Rosario, La Union on August 7-9, 2018.

In order to attain the objectives of this activity, Dr. Melinda Mangabat, Training Center Superintendent I of ATI-RTC I, and Dr. Carmelo Esteban, Director for Planning of Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) in Batac City, Ilocos Norte, served as Resource Persons for the two batches of training.

The training included workshops, which worked as good opportunity to enhance the knowledge of ESPs, and to enable participation to the Best Extension Practices Competition in the 5th Regional Agriculture and Fishery Extension Network I (RAFEN I) Symposium in October.
