ATI Ilocos Region awards free-range chicken to SOA participants

Before the awarding, ATI-RTC I's Farmer-Cooperator, Mr. Rhoderick Gray of Farm Ambiance, Umingan, briefs the recipients on the importance of the right selection of FRC genetics. He mentions the difference between parent stock and F1 breeds, and gives some information about Dominant CZ (breed) and their genetics.

STA. BARBARA, Pangasinan – The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center I (ATI-RTC I) awarded the first batch of extension support to the participants of the School on-the-Air (SOA) on Free Range Chicken (FRC) Production on July 1, 2020 at its office in Tebag East, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan. The distribution of free-range chicken was given to the enrollees, graduates and coordinators of the said program, which culminated last November 27, 2019.

A total of 764 FRC was distributed to 21 local government units (LGUs) of Pangasinan, represented by their designated SOA coordinators. The table below shows the breakdown by city/municipality of the FRC recipients:

Meanwhile, the second batch of FRC will be awarded on July 29, 2020 to the other 10 LGUs who participated during the conduct of the said program. The activity was attended by the Center’s Information Services Section Head, Dr. Maricel Dacapias, along with other staff.
