ATI Ilocos Region holds e-learning graduation for MMSU students

BATAC CITY, Ilocos Norte - The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center I (ATI-RTC I) conducted the 2nd Mass Graduation on e-Learning for Agriculture Students on May 31, 2019 at the Teatro Ilocandia, Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), Batac City, Ilocos Norte.

About 230 Bachelor of Science in Agriculture students from MMSU received their certificates for successfully finishing e-Learning courses on agriculture and fisheries. Each graduate completed at least 20 ATI online courses. Top five achievers who finished 42-53 e-learning courses received medals and tokens during the graduation exercises.

MMSU integrated ATI’s e-Learning program to its curricula particularly in the College of Agriculture, Food and Sustainable Development (CAFSD). CAFSD students affirmed the power of e-learning and its benefits to their education. When asked for their impression on e-Learning, they expressed that e-Learning made learning simpler, easier, more flexible and interesting unlike the conventional classroom training. They said that they can take and finish e-Learning courses anywhere at any time of the day.

Mr. Jose Rey Alo, Knowledge Management Communication Specialist and Former ATI e-Learning Process Adviser, graced the event with his presence as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. In his message, he congratulated ATI Region I for spearheading the activity. He also presented new information and updates on ATI’s e-Learning program. “This time, ATI-Central Office is developing offline e-Learning courses so hindi niyo na proproblemahin ang internet para makakuha ng e-Learning course,” Mr. Alo informed the crowd.

ATI-RTC I has contributed remarkably to the e-learning program of the Institute. ATI-RTC I was awarded 1st place during the IS Achievers’ Awards for having the most number of e-learning graduates in January to October 2018. Indeed, ATI-RTC I in partnership with government agencies, and state universities and colleges like the Mariano Marcos State University proved its commitment in enhancing the students’ and stakeholders’ access to information on agriculture and fisheries in the country.

ATI continues to uphold its commitment in delivering excellent extension services which embrace the e-learning program. ATI currently offers over 60 online courses and 20 digital techno/info kits which are available to anyone, anytime, anyplace. ATI continues to develop relatable e-learning courses to impart long-term and worthwhile knowledge to learners of all ages.
