DILIMAN, Quezon City— Members of the UP Jeepney Drivers’ Association in Quezon City are now ready to shift gears and start a new venture to support their livelihood amid the pandemic.
This is after receiving free urban agriculture starter kits from the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) under the “Plant, Plant, Plant” Program of the Department of Agriculture (DA).
Agriculture Secretary William Dar and other officials of the Department of Agriculture (DA) led the harvesting of fresh vegetables from the technology demonstration sites of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), highlighting the culmination of the 2020 National Farmers' and Fisherfolk's Month celebration on May 29.
Extension services continue to evolve. With the challenges that extension workers and farmers face, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture. In over 30 years, the ATI has celebrated various successes and learned from the lessons during hard times. Nonetheless, we are proud to be standing the test of time through the support of our partners and the clientele themselves.
