ATI, COA Conduct Backyard Gardening Webinar for Women Staff

DILIMAN, Quezon City — In line with the celebration of National Women’s Month, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) took part in a webinar on “Women in Backyard Gardening and Farming” facilitated by the Commission on Audit (COA) .

The webinar highlighted different gardening strategies and vegetable production practices. Specifically, container gardening, vertical gardening, edible landscaping, square-foot farming, hydroponics, preparation of soil mixture, organic pesticides, as well as organic concoctions and kitchen waste composting.

BFAR, ATI Conducts Urban Agriculture Webinar for Retirees

DILIMAN, Quezon City — The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) intensifies its urban agriculture program through partnerships with different communities and organizations. This include the recently concluded online “Retirement Management Workshop” facilitated by the Human Resource Development Program of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) in October 19 -22, 2020.

One of the ATI’s guiding mantra is extension delivery beyond boundaries. Before the pandemic happened, this is easier said than done. There is always a question of turfing or even the limitations and legal ramifications imposed when you literally go beyond your Physical Boundaries. Of course, boundaries could be interpreted not only in the Physical sense as everything is open to interpretation, and for the Commission on Audit, justification.
