ATI’s ‘Going Mobile’ Project Nominated in World Summit Awards 2018

PHILIPPINES—“Going Mobile: Making e-Learning for Agriculture & Fisheries More Accessible”, a project of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), is one of the three nominees for best national digital solution from the Philippines for the World Summit Awards (WSA) 2018.

The project aims to offer e-Learning courses through mobile learning or m-Learning. This is so that the course content can become more adaptive to smart devices, thus, making it more accessible to the learners.

e-Learning Usage Surges in 2020

DILIMAN, Quezon City—The e-Learning Program for Agriculture and Fisheries reached a new milestone amid the COVID-19 pandemic as it recorded over 112,000 enrollees in 2020.

With the implementation of the community lockdowns during the onset of the pandemic last year, the ATI intensified its campaign to engage agriculture stakeholders and enthusiasts to sign up and enroll in the free e-Learning courses. The goal is to help individuals access various information resources on agri-fishery technologies without sacrificing their health and safety.

Pool of Urban Agri Advocates Keeps Growing

DILIMAN, Quezon City—The number of individuals and groups getting behind the urban agriculture initiative is getting larger as the Department of Agriculture (DA) continues to lead the charge in household-level food production.

“During this lockdown, we saw the importance of food. We learned that it is no joke when it comes to the source of our food. Because of this, the interest in agriculture is starting to grow,” Senator Kiko Pangilinan said during the second episode of Agri Tayo streamed via Facebook last June 25, 2020.
