Figuratively, comparing a farmer’s success with a caterpillar’s transformation, the book “MORPHOSES: ATI’s Treasury of Inspiring Stories” introduces readers into the lives and successes of farmers and extension workers from the different places in the Philippines. These stories speak of what the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) stands for – transforming lives through quality extension services.
Going beyond championing the successes, the book also reflects the challenges, failures and setbacks of ATI’s partners for development. Hence, it is divided into seven (7) major categories: Agri-Business, Agri-Extension, Family Farming, High Value, Organic Farming, Rice, and Young Farmer. Each category contains stories written by Information Officers, Media Production Specialists, Agriculturists, Development Officers and other technical staff of ATI’s Central Office and network of Training Centers.
This book also underscores the importance of ATI in the development and sustainability of agri-fisheries programs in the country. It is a celebration of how the Institute reached out, built dreams and changed lives. It is likewise, a tangible proof of the efforts that ATI upholds in providing excellent extension services beyond boundaries.
MORPHOSES was launched last January 26, 2017, together with five (5) other books, during ATI’s 30th Anniversary Celebration at the Rural Development and Education Center of the Institute’s Central Office in Diliman, Quezon City.
