Agri Asenso Explores Increasing Women Participation in Farming Through Training, Education

DILIMAN, Quezon City – Access to training programs and development opportunities enables more women to participate in agriculture.

This was highlighted by two women farmers from Nueva Ecija, who served as guest experts during the Agri Asenso radio program of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) and DZRH last March 5. 

Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Farm School owners Fern Sebastian and Nina Resplandor, of Myriad Farms in Guimba, Nueva Ecija, said that various government interventions and resources in the sector are now gender inclusive.

RCEF-Farmers Field School Participants Showcase Learnings in Harvest Festival

NORALA, SOUTH COTABATO – ATI-Regional Training Center XII headed by Center Director Abdul I. Daya-an attended an RCEF-FFS Harvest Festival organized by B.E.S.T. College of Polomolok, Inc., one of ATI RTC XII’s accredited Learning Site for Agriculture and TESDA's accredited Farm School.

Held last January 9, 2021 at Brgy. Puti, Norala, South Cotabato, the event featured the 50 farmer graduates of Farmers' Field School under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF). Gracing the event were TESDA representative Joel Aldea and Edmund Amigo from Local Government Unit of Norala.

Former Marikina Councilor and Agri Newbie Promotes Modern Rice Farming Through RCEF

QUEZON CITY  -- A former two-term Marikina councilor and newbie to the agricultural industry is on a mission to eradicate ‘gawat’ - the Ilocano word for ‘scarcity’ - one farm at a time through Our Farm Republic (OFR). OFR is an integrated, diversified, organic farm in Mangatarem, Pangasinan, which promotes modern techniques and best practices among rice farmers through the support of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF).

RCEF Farm School Owners Trained on Using RCM Advisory Service

LOS BAÑOS, Laguna – Farm School owners under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Program and representatives from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist of Laguna and Quezon were trained on Rice Crop Manager (RCM) Advisory Service (RAS).

The “Regional Training of Trainers on Rice Crop Manager (RCM) Advisory Service (RAS)” was intended to create a pool of trainers to handle basic trainings on the use of RCM, including generation of its recommendation.
