ATI Promotes Rice-based Products thru Free Seminar

DILIMAN, Quezon City – Filipinos love rice so much, having it for every meal and some more for snacks like the 'kakanin'. Rice-based products like this not only create variation for rice but can also serve as an alternative source of income for rice producers.

The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) showed its support to this notion by conducting a free seminar on rice-based processing that showcased ways of bringing a different color to rice.

National Rice Awareness Month Pushes for Healthier Way of Enjoying Rice

DILIMAN, Quezon City—Rice remains to be a staple food in every Filipino meal and the most abundant crop in terms of production in the country.

To honor rice farmers and the rice industry itself, the National Rice Awareness Month (NRAM) for this year kicked off with activities led by the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice).

The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) had a head start for the celebration with a briefing of the Be RICEponsible campaign led by its national campaign director Myriam Layaoen.
