Generation Equality Uplifts Women's Month 2020

The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) is one with the nation in celebrating the National Women's Month (NWM) this March.

In the Philippines, 2020 is a turning point in advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment (GEWE). This year also marks the 45th founding anniversary of the Philippine Commission on Women.

Under the banner theme “We Make Change Work for Women,” the 2020 NWM will celebrate and take stock of the progress made to advance GEWE in the country.

DILIMAN, Quezon City—Despite the challenges in the agriculture sector, some women entrepreneurs in the country remain positive that the Philippine farming industry will thrive in the years to come.

One of them is 23-year-old Alyssa Guhiting of Guiguinto, Bulacan, who sees the big potential in farming even with the negative perceptions about it.

ATI Today

Extension services continue to evolve. With the challenges that extension workers and farmers face, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture. In over 30 years, the ATI has celebrated various successes and learned from the lessons during hard times. Nonetheless, we are proud to be standing the test of time through the support of our partners and the clientele themselves. This is the ATI Today, more committed to bring you extension services beyond boundaries.
