DA’s Urban Agri Project Pushes for Food Security, Enterprise Dev’t

BATASAN HILLS, Quezon City—The Department of Agriculture (DA) and the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) are pushing for more enterprise development opportunities in support to food security through its Urban Agriculture project.

ATI Officer-in-Charge Assistant Director Rosana Mula had this underscored during the launch of the project and distribution of starter kits under the DA’s “Plant, Plant Plant” Program in Barangay Batasan Hills.

With the challenges that extension workers and farmers face, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture. In over 30 years, the ATI has celebrated various successes and learned from the lessons during hard times.
