ATI Attends 27th AWGATE Meeting, Highlights "Green Technologies and SMEs Assistance

Quezon City -- The ASEAN Member States (AMS) successfully wrapped its 2021-2025 activities for the Strategic Plan of Action on ASEAN Cooperation in Agricultural Training and Extension during the virtual meeting of the ASEAN Sectoral Working Group on Agricultural Training and Extension (AWGATE).

QUEZON CITY, Metro Manila—Training center superintendents and supervisors from the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) central office and nationwide network of training centers were given the opportunity to further enhance their knowledge and skills as extension agents on the latest Refresher Course on Extension Delivery System (EDS).

DILIMAN, Quezon City—Director Alfredo Aton challenged the staff of Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) to strengthen partnerships and build linkages to address challenges that confront the food and agriculture extension services.

During the FY 2018 Annual Performance Review and FY 2019 Commitment Signing held at ATI’s central office, the current director of the Institute recognized the efforts and accomplishments in the previous year. However, he emphasized that there is a need to work closely with other organizations that have extension mandates.

ATI, BAR Aim for Stronger RDE Complementation

BAGUIO CITY, Cordillera Administrative Region—With the government’s thrust to increase investment on research and development (R&D) to improve farm productivity, representatives from the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) and the Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR) convened to draw up interventions to strengthen the complementation of the R&D and extension functions in the agriculture sector.
