4-H Club of the Philippines National Summit Held for Rural Youth Nationwide

KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato — Almost 300 youth around the country took part in the recently concluded 4-H Club of the Philippines National Summit organized by the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) last October 27-29, 2021.

The Summit aims to abreast all 4-H members with current, and relevant information on opportunities for agriculture and fisheries development, including capacity-building interventions for agricultural development, and sustainability and youth empowerment, which can be accessed by members amidst the new normal.

Farming Champions Talk Innovation, Passion on ‘Agri Asenso’

DILIMAN, Quezon City—In line with the celebration of the Farmers’ and Fisherfolk Month, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) puts the spotlight on farmers and fishers for their outstanding contributions and performance in the agri-fishery sector through its radio program, “Agri Asenso”.

For the first two Saturdays of May, Gawad Saka outstanding high value crop farmer Greggy Saljay and outstanding young farmer Elnard Ympal talked about their respective innovations on integrated, diversified, and organic farming.

RIC, P4MP Officers Further Empowered to Lead Communities

MINDANAO, Philippines—The role of rural-based organizations in boosting community advancement is continuously recognized in the agriculture and fisheries sector.

With this, Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) conducted a series of capacity enhancement training programs for the regional presidents of the Rural Improvement Club (RIC) and of the Pambansang Mannalon-Maguuma-Magbabaul-Magsasaka ng Pilipinas (P4MP).

Young Farmers Trained to Advance Agripreneurship

METRO MANILA & SOUTH COTABATO—Some young farmer-leaders from different parts of the country are now equipped to advance the agribusiness sector after completing the National Training on Agripreneurship.

The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) convened selected regional and provincial officers of the 4-H Club of the Philippines for the said training to further their entrepreneurial skills.

Agri Gardens Bloom in Metro Manila

METRO MANILA—Green gardens are redesigning the city fabric as the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) intensifies its urban agriculture program through a series of partnerships with different communities and organizations.

The said program, led by the ATI-Partnerships and Accreditation Division, aims to assist city residents to integrate farming into their daily activities through the establishment of urban farms.

4-H Youth Develop Skills in Organizational Management

ERMITA, Manila—The 4-H Club of the Philippines and other rural-based organizations (RBOs) strongly serve as channels for the development of agriculture and fisheries technologies in the country.

As the lead agency that supports these organizations, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) held a Capacity Enhancement for 4-H National Federation Officers on Organizational Management.
