Terminal Objective:
The activity aims to encourage educators and young generations to engage in organic farming.
Enabling Objective:
Specifically, at the end of the activity, the participants shall have:
- Cited what mushrooms are, how mushroom culture started in the Philippines, and the common varieties of mushrooms grown in the country;
- Identified cultural practices of growing straw mushrooms from establishment of backyard production to planting and harvesting;
- Identified basic points to consider in caring and managing straw mushrooms;
- Computed the profitability of growing straw mushrooms using profitability ratios as measuring tool; and
- Prepared action plan to start the business.
Target Participants: 30 Farmers/AEWs/Teachers
