Department Order No. 03 series of 2007 designates the Agricultural Training Institute as lead agency for the provision of e-Extension services in collaboration with the various agencies, bureaus and organizational units of the DA. This is to integrate and harmonize ICT- based extension delivery system for agriculture and fisheries.

Electronic learning or e-Learning is a type of technology-supported education where the medium of instruction is through computer technology. In this current age of computer, it has become a popular instructional approach where teaching/learning experience is maximized via a wide spectrum of technologies, mainly Internet or computer-based, to reach learners. In some technologically-advanced colleges and universities, e-Learning is used to complement the traditional face-to-face instruction (blended learning). There are cases though when students rarely attend the conventional classroom setting because there are numerous course offerings that can be taken up online.

ATI Caraga in partnership with CSU, ASSCAT, SDSSU and PLGUs has generated an increasing number of e-Learning graduates since 2008. For this year, more than 600 students/AEWs completed online courses who are qualified to participate the mass graduation. Anent thereto, this Office is requesting the approval and funding for the conduct of this activity.
