Posted by:

The International Centre for development oriented Research in Agriculture (ICRA) of The Netherlands is an international organization founded through the initiative of European members of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). ICRA`s main goal is to help strengthen the capacities of research institutions of developing countries and contribute effectively to agricultural development.

According to ICRA, they published this monograph to share some of the lessons they learned over their ten years of experience in managing multidisciplinary research teams. Author Dr. Cecile Jackson and tutor of the field team said ICRA believes that interdisciplinary can be taught and is best done by presenting practical problems which require an interdisciplinary approach.

This publication discusses research methods and some development topics. Specifically, on field study preparation; practice; principles; and outputs.
