Knowledge on farming is meant to be shared and, as the extension arm in the agriculture sector, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) is creating the means for people to do so. With the rising food prices in Metro Manila, the ATI launched a series of free seminars on different agriculture and fisheries technologies featuring experts from public and private organizations. Through this, the Institute aims to help people in urban areas produce their own food even with the limited space in their backyards.

From 15 participants in the first event, the free seminar series has since been attracting thousands of people from different walks of life. What was the turning point for the success of this initiative? Find out through this latest issue of ACCESS, the official publication of the ATI. Extension services continue to evolve. With the challenges that extension workers and farmers face, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture. In over 30 years, the ATI has celebrated various successes and learned from the lessons during hard times. Nonetheless, we are proud to be standing the test of time through the support of our partners and the clientele themselves. This is the ATI Today, more committed to bring you extension services beyond boundaries.
