ATI Network Leads TOTs for DAC4RCEF Rollout

Initial batches of the regional training of trainers (TOT) on Digital Agriculture Course under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (DAC4RCEF) went underway this October and November led by the regional training centers (RTCs) of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI).

ATI Cagayan Valley and Central Visayas started off the activities with their first batches conducted virtually last October 12-14.

Meat safety still top priority — NMIS exec

DILIMAN, Quezon City—The quality and safety of meat in the market are still top priority amid problems in animal health in the country, particularly the African swine fever (ASF), according to the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS).

In a radio interview, Dr. Orlando Ongsotto, OIC-Deputy Executive Director for Field Operations of the NMIS, detailed the different steps their office is taking in making sure that meat safety is being maintained for the consumers.

DA Pushes Free-range Chicken Industrialization as Demand Rises

Multiplier farms in various locations in the county are currently being established by the Department of Agriculture (DA) for free-range chicken as its demand rises in the market.

This strategy is part of the DA’s initiative to industrialize free-range chicken and make it farm-to-table viable, as well as available in public markets.

Sa pamamagitan ng temang “May pandemya man o wala, ang magsasaka’t mangingisda, maaasahan ng bansa”, tampok ang kontribusyon ng ating mga bayani sa bukid at palaisdaan upang magkaroon ng sapat na pagkain ang bawat Pilipino sa kabila ng nararanasang epekto ng COVID-19.
