Last year, I told myself to find someone who can be my Mr. Jonjon Sarmiento version in region 8. Why Mr. Sarmiento? Why not? He has a big heart for organic farming, generous and an expert in his own right in practical farming. He has a nonchalant approach to teaching as if he is not and speaks from his heart, and practices and experiments in the level that fellow farmers can easily understand and emulate. Intuitively, I scouted one in every chance and opportunity that I get when I am with the farmers.

Okay we’re busy; we have a lot of schedule to catch up. We want to accomplish the entire target and wanted to see things are organized. Most of the time, we perform because we are bound to do it. And even if we exert all our effort to have better result, sometimes we fail. Our mind wants to fix it but our body give up. We were angered when somebody says negative about our accomplishment that results to conflict, depression, filled with anxiety, and struggling with what we felt.

Why do we always fall in this kind of situation?

Am I that crazy enough to receive award?
When Dr. Vilma M. Patindol, our OIC Center Director in ATI Region 8 encouraged us to innovate during our planning last December 2014, my imagination went into overdrive. The idea of protecting the brain and plants in Plants vs. Zombies is relative to what organic agriculture is aiming. The strategies in Farmville can also be the farmers’ strategies in making integrated diversified organic farming system (IDOFS) farm.

I did my very best!!! I almost have it!!! I gave my passionate shot!!! But I did not get it!!!
It was year 2012 when I tried to join the contest in photography called by the Agricultural Training Institute Central Office during its 25th Founding Anniversary with the theme “ATI At It’s Best”. I won, of course! But only 2nd place…Not bad… at least I won. I accepted it positively believing that there’s still room for improvement and still I have to develop my skill and knowledge in photography. Winner during that contest was Mr. Dennis Boyd Baltazar of Region 8.

It was a cloudy morning of May 30, 2013 when we left for Bongabong and Roxas for our final orientation of the School on the Air Program for the Second District of Oriental Mindoro. Midway through our journey, rain poured and thunders rolled as if a storm was brewing. The situation made me contemplate backup plans since we cannot cancel the scheduled orientation, knowing that the start of airing will be on next Tuesday. In my silence, I prayed to GOD to give me wisdom and let me trust HIM for whatever HIS plan for us that time.

Since I started using DSLR camera, I became passionate with the different shots, angles and capture subjects that will fit on the scenery I created on my mind. These became intense as I am obliged to have an output of success story on rice and organic farming. On my own perspective, pictures showed beauty that captured attention depending on the person’s outlook. This is my guide every time I focused my camera to the subject or model and have my final shot to accomplish the given task. The very simple point of view becomes deeper after assisting in coordination and guiding CENTREX Corp.
