DILIMAN, Quezon City—In line with the Department of Agriculture’s (DA) goal to create a culture of agribusiness among the youth, key officials of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) and its network of training centers sat down for a National Consultation Meeting on the Youth Agripreneurship Program and Young Farmers Program.

During the activity, the group discussed plans and strategies in the implementation of the Institute’s training programs for the youth this year.

DILIMAN, Quezon City—Some 10 coffee farmers from different parts of the country are now set to help advance the industry after completing a two-week training program on coffee farming and enterprise.

The training program was conceived through the joint efforts of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), PT Mayora Indah TBK, and Philippine Coffee Board, Inc. (PCBI). It was conducted to address the insufficient supply of coffee in the Philippines, leading to high importation rate from neighboring Southeast Asian countries.

QUEZON CITY—The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) convened key players in agri-fishery extension to refine the industry’s roadmap and ensure the sound implementation of related policies and strategies.

Selected planning officers and program coordinators from the ATI network, together with officials from the Department of Agriculture’s (DA) National Corn Program, Philippine Rice Research Institute, and Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization, constituted the core group.

DILIMAN, Quezon City—The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) welcomes more opportunities to bring its extension services further along the lines of productivity and advancement as it celebrates achievements leading to its 33rd founding anniversary.

After reaching more than 85,000 stakeholders in 2019, with over 2,500 training programs and learning activities implemented, the Institute is set to empower more farmers, fishers, agricultural extension workers, and other players in the agricultural value chain.

DILIMAN, Quezon City—Twenty three young farmers from different regions in the country complete this year's batch of the Young Filipino Farm Leaders Training Program in Japan (YFFLTPJ).

Specifically, seventeen male and six female trainees were qualified for the program. This is part of the continuing partnership of the Department of Agriculture (DA), through the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), and the Japan Agricultural Exchange Council (JAEC).

Key ATI and JAEC officials gave some reminders as the trainees start the 75-day Pre-departure Orientation Course (PDOC).
