Government Services on Display at Kabisig Expo and Trade Fair

QUEZON CITY, Metro Manila—Government agencies and offices showcased their programs and services to the public at the Kabisig Philippine Government Expo and Trade Fair 2018.

With the theme "Pamahalaan at Mamamayan: Kapit-bisig sa Pagbabago at kaunlaran", the event served as a one-stop government information exhibit that featured profiles, services, programs, and accomplishments of the participating agencies.

Nutrition Month 2018 Underlines Food Gardening

With the theme "Ugaliing magtanim, sapat na nutrisyon aanihin", the Agricultural Training Institute supports the celebration of Nutrition month 2018.

This is a yearly campaign held every July to create greater awareness among Filipinos on the importance of nutrition. Presidential Decree 491 or the Nutrition Act of the Philippines mandates the National Nutrition Council to lead and coordinate the nationwide campaign.

ATI, BAR Aim for Stronger RDE Complementation

1st National Congress Highlights Role of Family Farming in Food Security

QUEZON CITY, Metro Manila—Recognizing the important role of family farming, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) spearheaded the first National Farm Family Congress.

With the theme “The Role of Family Farming in Meeting the Food Security Challenge”, the congress served as a way to further promote family farming as farmers and their families shared their stories on their journey to becoming farmer leaders and agricultural entrepreneurs.

Central Luzon Farmers: ‘There is money in agriculture’

CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija—Farmers supported by the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) underscored the lucrative side of agriculture as they shared their good practices during the 2nd AgriTalk.

Desiree Duran, president of the Bulacan-based ATI Learning Site (LS) Duran Farm Agribusiness and Training Center Association, Inc., showed how agriculture can be a viable source of income through farm tourism.

ATI is Now CPD Provider

MANILA, Philippines—The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) is now accredited as a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Provider by the Professional Regulation Commission’s (PRC) Council of Agriculture.

In the certificate signed by CPD Council of Agriculture chairperson Nora Inciong, ATI’s accreditation was issued through Resolution No. 1032, Series of 2017. It is in accordance with the implementing rules and regulation of Republic Act No. 10912 otherwise known as the CPD Act of 2016.

Farm Enthusiasts Learn Vegetable Production, Processing

DILIMAN, Quezon City - Farmers and farming enthusiasts revisited the basics of vegetable production and explored the benefits of processing them during the free seminar on organic vegetable production and processing.

More than 260 farm enthusiasts across the metro and nearby provinces joined the event spearheaded by the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI). Renato Dela Cruz, chief of the ATI’s Partnership and Accrediation Division, formally opened the event and emphasized the importance of organic farming especially to the youth.
