DAVAO CITY, Davao del Sur— “Career development is about fulfilling careers, instead of fulfilling jobs.”

This was one of the points highlighted by Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean at National Defense College of the Philippines, Dr. Theresita Atienza, during the orientation-workshop for agricultural extension workers (AEWs) on career development. She emphasized that a job may feed one’s family but fulfilling a career gives one happiness and satisfaction.

QUEZON CITY, Metro Manila—To successfully bridge the gap between agricultural information and the farmers, there is a need for agricultural extension workers (AEWs) to continually build a strong foundation of knowledge and skills that will equip them in performing their duties more effectively.

The Agricultural Training Institute supports the celebration of the 32nd National Coconut Week or "Coco Week" on August 14-16, 2018.

An annual celebration led by the Philippine Coconut Authority, Coco Week is conducted every August as mandated by Proclamation 142, Series of 1987 signed by the late President Corazon Aquino. This is also to pay tribute to coconut as the “tree of life”.
