Special Free Agri Seminar Held for Women

DILIMAN, Quezon City—Supporting the National Women’s Month campaign of creating an enabling environment for women to be empowered, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) held a special free seminar to expand livelihood opportunities for Filipino women and their families.

Mushroom production is becoming popular in the country and seen as a way to provide practical, innovative, and sustainable livelihood for Filipinas. Hence, the special free seminar focused on mushroom production and processing technologies.

Free Seminar Highlights Culinary, Medical Importance of Herbs

DILIMAN, Quezon City—To encourage healthy lifestyle and sustainable farming, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) held the third of its year-long series of free seminars which focused on production and processing of herbs and spices.

Simultaneous lectures on the culinary and medicinal aspects of herbs and spices were held, with ATI Learning Site for Diversified Organic Farming and Aquaculture cooperator Connie Carillo and Remnant Institute Inc. President Mechelle Palma serving as resource speakers, respectively.

Fruitful Knowledge-sharing Marks Free Seminar on Cacao

DILIMAN, Quezon City – The latest free seminar of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), which focused on cacao production and processing, was a sweet success in giving new knowledge and information to around 300 individuals from different locations and walks of life.

ATI Regional Training Center XI Training Specialists Ofelia Sanchez and Richel Zamora talked about the Prospect of Cacao Production as an Enterprise and Cacao Production Technology, Harvest, and Postharvest Practices, respectively.

Free Seminar Raises Interest on Fruit Wine-Making

DILIMAN, Quezon City — Grapes are not the only fruits that could be made into a good wine as cashew, dragon fruit, guava, mango, pineapple, and many others can also be used.

Highlighting the economic potential of Philippine fruits, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) held a free seminar on wine-making last September 8, 2017 at the ATI Serrano Hall. It was attended by around 170 participants from different regions including Metro Manila, CALABARZON, and Central Luzon and provinces like Antique, Isabela, Pangasinan, and Western Samar.
