DILIMAN, Quezon City—The finance personnel of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) central office and network of training centers convened for the 2019 Closing of the Books to consolidate budgetary and financial accountabilities and assess financial performance for the said year.
Accountants, budget officers, and administrative staff of the Institute participated in the activity and presented their respective financial accomplishments.
The Department of Agriculture through the Agricultural Credit Policy Council (DA-ACPC) is offering an initial P2 billion that young students and entrepreneurs can borrow to start any agriculture, fishery or agribusiness venture.
"This is our way to attract the younger generation of Filipinos to be key players in attaining our vision of a food-secure Philippines with prosperous farmers and fishers," said Agriculture Secretary William Dar.
DILIMAN, Quezon City—To improve its programs, activities, and projects for fiscal year (FY) 2021, Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) officials and planning officers gathered for a week-long evaluation and target-setting activity.
ATI Director Alfredo Aton led the undertaking and stressed that all of the Institute’s initiatives for 2021 should be consistently aligned with Agriculture Secretary William Dar’s “Masaganang Ani at Mataas na Kita” vision. To attain this, Aton emphasized the need to practice the ease of doing business.
Ushering the new year, Agriculture Secretary William Dar reported the plans and programs of the Department of Agriculture (DA) in the coming months, including medium- and long-terms, during a press conference on January 3, 2020.
Dar issued Administrative Order No. 1, Series of 2020 establishing the policy framework and strategies for inclusive agri-industrialization and “new thinking for agriculture.”

DILIMAN, Quezon City—To boost the efforts of the Department of Agriculture (DA) to promote urban agriculture as an easy household activity and a source of healthy, nutritious, and safe food, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) held a harvest festival in its demo farm.
With the theme "Gulayan sa Bakuran, Kayamanan ng Bawat Tahanan,” the event gave ATI employees the opportunity to pick and take home fresh vegetables such as lettuce, pechay, ampalaya, and herbs from the “ATIng Gulayan ng DA” demo farm.
