Turning Point

He combs his still damp hair. Unsatisfied with his looks, he poured additional gel to his palm and applied from front to back. He combed again. Better now. He heard his wife, humming their favourite Maranao song while preparing the table for breakfast. He smells the aroma of a freshly roasted native coffee being brewed. His stomach growled. He buttoned his shirt and walked to the table. He smiled.

Of Shrooms and Weeds…

I have been into a good number of agriculture and fisheries enterprises in the country and with every farm I visited is a new trade idea I wanted to venture in. Be it vegetables or fruit production… poultry or livestock raising… even mariculture! I have taken all that into consideration. And now, I’m all on organic farming (thanks to my exposure in various organic farms!).

Up Close and Personal

I am just being reminded to have this blog title with the book that I’ve read written by Fern Michaels, where she explored the dynamics of one extraordinary family, the complex bond between mother and daughter, and the transforming power of the loves we find, the loves we lose, and the ones we carry with us always--no matter where life takes us.

Of course, I will not be talking about the book here, instead; I am just borrowing the title for her credits because I am amazed with it – just that!

Start Small

It is but common to us that in every endeavor we aspire for, we wanted to have huge, big and or an enormous result or impact. Thus, it is as well given, that only a few thrived because most of them failed.

Thinking of Getting out of My Comfort Zone

If there is one person who can inspire me to get out of my comfort zone and shift careers, it is Mr. Mon Peñalosa of Victorias City, Negros Occidental. I visited his farm recently together with a group of bloggers. As always, Sir Mon doesn’t cease to amaze me. From the first moment that he talked about his farm, he had the group at the palm of his hand. I’m willing to bet (though I’m not a betting person), that after his talk, majority of the group (composed of young urbanites from Metro Manila) are convinced that farming is the key to riches.
