Briefings, Exhibits Highlight ATI Efforts for NRAM 2019

DILIMAN, Quezon City—The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) showed its support to the 2019 National Rice Awareness Month (NRAM) celebration with activities that are linked with this year's theme "Eat Local, Buy Local. Support our Rice Farmers."

ATI kicked off its NRAM activities last November 4 with an exhibit of rice and rice-based products from partner-farmers from different regions in the country. These were supported with banners and standees showcasing rice-related facts and messages towards the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund.

MALATE, Manila—Officials from the Department of Agriculture (DA) and its attached bureaus and agencies, heads of provincial and municipal government units, the academe, and stakeholders from the private sector convened for the 2019 National Food Security Summit.

The summit served as an avenue for discussions on the current trends, issues, and challenges in the agriculture sector. These include the effects of the Rice Tariffication Law, Agri-Fishery Clustering and Consolidation, Province-led Agriculture and Fishery Extension Systems (PAFES), and Crop Diversification, among others.

NRAM 2019 Rallies Support for Local Rice Farmers

The Department of Agriculture (DA), through its bureaus and implementing agencies including the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), annually celebrates the National Rice Awareness Month (NRAM) every November.

The celebration aims to encourage every Filipino to do their share of RICEponsibility by valuing every grain of rice and eating healthier rice to benefit themselves, other consumers, rice farmers, and the country as a whole.

2019 World Food Day Underlines Healthy Food For All

The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) expresses its support to the celebration of the World Food Day (WFD) this October 16.

WFD 2019 calls for action across sectors to make healthy and sustainable diets affordable and accessible to everyone. Furthermore, it asks everyone to start thinking about what they eat.

In support to the celebration, agri-exhibits will be held at the Department of Agriculture (DA) grounds on October 14-16. These will feature products from different parts of the country.

Coco Products, Technologies Fuel National Coconut Week 2019

The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) is one with the nation in celebrating the 33rd National Coconut Week or "Coco Week" this August.

Technologies and best practices will be showcased throughout the celebration to promote coconut productivity and production of value-added export products, such as coconut water, activated carbon, coco coir (fiber), and coconut oil.
