ATI to Establish Greenhouse Sites in QC, Caloocan

DILIMAN, Quezon City— The Department of Agriculture (DA), through the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), has partnered with four barangays in Caloocan and Quezon cities for the establishment of “Greenhouse Village” in support to the urban agriculture initiative of the “Plant, Plant, Plant” Program.

Key ATI officials signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with representatives from barangays 179 and 180 in Caloocan, and Payatas and Tandang Sora in Quezon City which will serve as pilot areas for this undertaking.

DILIMAN, Quezon City – To increase the par productivity and have a sufficient supply of food for every household, the Department of Agriculture launched the “Ahon Lahat, Pagkain Sapat Kontra sa COVID-19” (ALPAS COVID-19) or commonly known as the Plant Plant Plant Program. As such, the program involves the promotion, and strengthening of implementation of the Urban Agriculture Program.

ATI Joins the 2020 National Children’s Month Celebration

QUEZON CITY, Philippines – The Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC), as the lead government inter-agency body for children’s rights and welfare in the Philippines, spearheaded the 2020 National Children’s Month Celebration last November 6, 2020. It was conducted via video teleconferencing platform, with the theme: “Sama-samang itaguyod ang Karapatan ng Bawat Bata sa Panahon ng Pandemya”. The activity aims to celebrate and recognize children as the most valuable assets of the nation, and to emphasize the importance of their role within the Filipino family and the Philippine society.
