Expansion of Green Communities in Manila Continues

METRO MANILA, Philippines—Caritas Manila, Inc. joins the roster of Urban Agriculture Garden Sites (UAGS) supported by the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) as the urban agriculture project expands further in the metro.

Following the series of partnerships established with various stakeholders on setting up UAGS, Caritas Manila, Inc. sealed an agreement with the ATI to join the effort of enhancing access to food among urban families.

YFFLTPJ Alumni Showcase Farming Practices to Japanese Partners

LUZON, Philippines—Former trainees of the Young Filipino Farm Leaders’ Training Program in Japan (YFFLTPJ) took the opportunity to express their gratitude and showcase their farming practices to Japanese officials and farmers who helped them improve their skills.

This was during the monitoring visit of Japan Agricultural Exchange Council (JAEC) officials, together with Japanese farmers who serve as host families to YFFLTPJ trainees.

ATI Looks at Sustained Agri Productivity in its 32nd Year

DILIMAN, Quezon City—The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) vows to be in the forefront of agricultural productivity through harmonized and proactive extension services as it celebrates its 32nd founding anniversary this year.

In his message during the anniversary program, ATI Director Alfredo Aton thanked all the Institute’s personnel for working productively and consistently meeting targets in response to the growing needs of farmers and fishers.

21 Young Farmers Start Preparatory Course for Exchange Program in Japan

DILIMAN, Quezon City—A new batch of qualified young farmers from various regions of the country will now begin a 75-day training course on agriculture and cooperative management.

This is as part of the continuing partnership of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) with the Japan Agricultural Exchange Council (JAEC) for the Young Filipino Farm Leaders’ Training Program in Japan (YFFLTPJ).

ATI Joins ‘Battle for Manila Bay’

MANILA, Philippines—To support environmental protection and strengthen multi-sectoral cooperation, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) participated in the initial cleanup of Manila Bay as part of the ongoing effort for its rehabilitation and preservation, dubbed as the “Battle for Manila Bay”.

The ATI is part of the Department of Agriculture (DA) Inter-Agency Task Force on the rehabilitation efforts for Manila Bay, spearheaded by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
