ATI Supports ABS-CBN’s Public Service Caravan

TAYTAY, Rizal—To continually expand the reach of agriculture-related information and knowledge, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) has partnered with the ABS-CBN Corporation in the latter’s series of public service events.

Representatives from ATI facilitated the urban farming seminar during the DZMM Teaching Learning Caring event, held together with the ABS-CBN Kapamilya Love Weekend. This is part of the network’s 65th anniversary celebration.

Urban Farming Grows in Cebu

CEBU CITY—Despite being a highly urbanized area and one of the most visited tourist destinations in the country, Cebu City is expected to flourish with backyard farms.

This is after some 400 residents gathered for the 3rd AgriTalk 2019 and learned tips in urban agriculture. Techniques in square foot gardening, goat production, and various backyard farming practices were discussed during the activity.

ATI Supports LeMMCAP’s 2020 National Convention

DILIMAN, Quezon City—Recognizing the essence of collaboration to speed up rural development, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to partner with groups and organizations such as the League of Municipal Agricultural Officers, Municipal and City Agriculturists of the Philippines, Inc. (LeMMCAP).

ATI and LeMMCAP officials sat down for a meeting to discuss the latter’s plans and activities for 2020, particularly its National Convention.

Agri Gardens Bloom in Metro Manila

METRO MANILA—Green gardens are redesigning the city fabric as the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) intensifies its urban agriculture program through a series of partnerships with different communities and organizations.

The said program, led by the ATI-Partnerships and Accreditation Division, aims to assist city residents to integrate farming into their daily activities through the establishment of urban farms.

4-H Youth Develop Skills in Organizational Management

ERMITA, Manila—The 4-H Club of the Philippines and other rural-based organizations (RBOs) strongly serve as channels for the development of agriculture and fisheries technologies in the country.

As the lead agency that supports these organizations, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) held a Capacity Enhancement for 4-H National Federation Officers on Organizational Management.
