2019 Free Seminar Series Kicks Off with 'Organic Farming for Newbies'

DILIMAN, Quezon City—The 2019 free seminar series of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) is off to a good start as 370 individuals came for the first topic, Organic Farming for Newbies.

The participants were welcomed by Milagros Urbano, chief of the ATI Policy and Planning Division. She talked about the benefits of organic agriculture which, she said, is mostly "going back to the basics" of farming.

"Going organic is a long and tedious process. You need to be persistent, patient, and optimistic," she stressed.

Free Seminar Sparks Participants’ Interest on Mango Farming Business

DILIMAN, Quezon City—More than 200 agriculture enthusiasts convened for an entire day of learning during the Agricultural Training Institute’s (ATI) free seminar on mango production and processing.

With resource persons from the Bureau of Plant Industry-Guimaras National Crop Research, Development, and Production Support Center (BPI-GNCRDPSC), the seminar highlighted the value-adding component of the commodity.

Special Free Agri Seminar Held for Women

DILIMAN, Quezon City—Supporting the National Women’s Month campaign of creating an enabling environment for women to be empowered, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) held a special free seminar to expand livelihood opportunities for Filipino women and their families.

Mushroom production is becoming popular in the country and seen as a way to provide practical, innovative, and sustainable livelihood for Filipinas. Hence, the special free seminar focused on mushroom production and processing technologies.
