A total of 28 Agricultural Extension Workers graduated from the Refresher Course on Cassava Production on May 11-13, 2022 at Dos Four Dos Integrated Farm, Brgy. Ramon Magsaysay, Aborlan, Palawan.

The three-day TOT equipped AEWs from different municipalities in the Province of Palawan with skills and knowledge of cassava production technologies. Among the topics discussed during the training were cassava cultural management, cassava nursery establishment, and cassava variety identification.

Moreover, the participants learned the pests and diseases management as well as the harvest and post-harvest management of cassava.

Development Management Officer I Mr. Joel Ray Pagdato, and Agriculturist I Mr. Solo Arman P. Mercene, served as the Resource Speakers of the said training.

"Kasalukuyan naming sinisimulan yung area namin sa Rural Agricultural Center para sa root crops. May source kami ng mga planting materials pero di namin nagagather. Sa pag attend namin dito maituturo namin sa mga farmer ang tamang technology, napakainteresting ang pest and diseases dahil ito yung napakatricky. Naging aware ako sa RCPC at BPI na meron palang kaming pwedeng makatie-up,”
