The three-day training aims to capacitate the farmer-scientist graduates with the necessary skills needed for the FSTP Phase III implementation in which they are expected to facilitate the FSTP activities and serve as resource persons for the topics included in the program.

Ms. Wilma Velasco imparted her knowledge of using a soil test kit for soil sampling. The participants also learned the topics of Integrated Nutrient Management and Fertilizer Application discussed by the Resource Person from the University of Philippines Los Baños ((UPLB).

During the microteaching activity, Ms. Remelyn Umalay, one of the participants discussed her topic on “Paghahanda ng Lupang Taniman”. Also, other participants presented their assigned topics during the workshop activities which were facilitated by the panelists from the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) and UPLB.

This second batch FSTP refresher course was spearheaded by the Partnerships and Accreditation Services Section of the ATI in MiMaRoPa led by Mr. Joel Ryan R. Pagdato, Development Management Officer I/Corn Point Person.
