To provide intervention for the Indigenous People (IPs), the Agricultural Training Institute in MiMaRoPa conducted a Training on Organic Production Technology on April 19-21, 2022 in Roxas, Oriental Mindoro.

The three-day activity discussed the topics of Integrated Pest Management, Sloping Agricultural Land Technology (SALT), and Organic Fertilizer Production.

Retiree Assistant Center Director of ATI-MiMRoPa Ruben P. Jugno served as a Resource Speaker during the training. Mr. Jugno discussed the best practices and technologies in organic farming.

Center Director Pat Andrew B. Barrientos graced the closing program of the training. In his message, he encouraged the participants to register in the Registry System for Basic Agriculture to get different assistance in agriculture like free seeds and fertilizer. Also, he promoted the use of e-Learning courses that could help the participants gain more knowledge on organic vegetable production.

A total of 22 IPs attended the said training.
