Enhancing the skills of 43 BBOs on Specimen Collection

ODIONGAN AND SAN AGUSTIN, ROMBLON – Forty-three (43) Barangay Biosecurity Officers (BBOs) successfully equipped with skills in collecting swine specimens for laboratory testing from the two (2) batches of “Training on Specimen Collection for BBOs” spearheaded by the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) in MiMaRoPa at Brgy. Ligaya, Odiongan and Brgy. Dubduban, San Agustin on April 19-20, 2022, and April 21-22, 2022, respectively.

During the hands-on activities, the participants learned the proper preparation and handling of materials and tools, restraining of animals, collection, handling, packaging, and transport of specimens of swine.

Ms. Annabelle F. Mabasa of Brgy.

At the end of the training, the participants are provided with a training kit to help them in ASF monitoring in the province.

Another two batches of the said training will be conducted in the province of Occidental Mindoro on May 3-4, 2022, and May 5-6, 2022.
