Mr. Gio Earl C. Laguerta bagged 2nd place in the recently concluded Three-Minute Speech Contest as part of the 2nd National Youth in Agriculture Summit with the theme “Spark, Encourage, Engage the Youth to Develop (SEED) new leaders for Agriculture.”
This year’s theme aims to convene young farmers, innovators, educators, and leaders for knowledge sharing and learning activities. It also aims to inspire young farmers to become innovators and agripreneurs by accessing the programs and services of the Department.
During the regional contest on April 19, 2021, using the Zoom Application, all representatives from the different RTCs were given one question to answer with a time of two minutes to organize their thoughts. After the allotted time, they presented their answers in the form of a speech for a maximum of three minutes.

Mr. Laguerta was the representative of the Agricultural Training Institute in MiMaRoPa after he won over Prince Joseph Alvarez of Calintaan, Occidental Mindoro during the pre-qualifying round conducted by the Center on April 1, 2022, via Zoom.

The winners of the said contest were announced during the 2nd National Youth in Agriculture Summit on April 21-22, 2022 via a blended approach.
