To iron out the existing extension services of corn and cassava in the region, the Agricultural Training (ATI) in MiMaRoPa facilitated the “Regional Corn and Cassava Consultation and Planning Workshop” at Brgy. Payompon, Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro on March 8, 2022.

Through the one-day activity, the participants were able to address the different issues and concerns regarding the implementation of corn and cassava training programs in the region. Moreover, the re-entry plan for 2023 was also prepared during the activity.

“This activity is a great platform to improve the extension programs in the region. With this, we will be able to capacitate the needs of our farmers”, Ms. Anabel S. Gacusan said.

The said consultation and workshop was graced by the ATI MiMaRoPa Center Director Pat Andrew B. Barrientos. Present also during the activity were Agricultural Extension Workers and representatives from DA-Regional Field Office and State University and Colleges within the MiMaRoPa Region.

A total of 30 participants attended the activity via a blended approach.
