Monitoring the Progress of ATI-MIMAROPA’s LSA and SPA

OCCIDENTAL MINDORO – A total of 11 Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) and School for Practical Agriculture (SPA) were monitored by the LSA team from the Partnerships and Accreditation Services Section headed by Jayson N. Erondo along with Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Ms. Manilyn M. Tejada of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) in MIMAROPA on March 7-12, 2022.

The said LSA/SPA monitoring aimed to assess the progress and interventions provided by the ATI. After visiting the farms, the LSA team advised the LSA/SPA cooperators to further develop their farms to provide excellent services to the farmers. Also, they were reminded of their responsibilities as certified LSA/SPA, particularly the submission of monthly reports to the ATI in MIMAROPA.

During the six (6) days monitoring, the team visited Jessar TechnoFlow Industries, and Agustin Farm in Abra De Ilog; Mamburao Integrated Farm, and Maculbo Eco Farm in Mamburao; Westgate Integrated Farm Corporation in Sta. Cruz; Danizon Integrated Farm, TESDA Occidental Mindoro Provincial Training Center, and Salgado Integrated Farm in Sablayan; Rizal Occidental Mindoro TESDA Training, and Accreditation Center in Rizal; Kanwaling Gateway Farm in San Jose; and Lola’s Healthy Farm in Magsaysay.

Moreover, the Anahao Adventure Farm owned by Liza Magdalaganan-Lacap located at Brgy. Sta. Teresa, Magsaysay, Occidental Mindoro was also evaluated. As a new LSA applicant, the team provided her with information to further enhance her farm to qualify as one of the LSAs in the MIMAROPA Region.
