Photography Contest
GIVE US YOUR BEST SHOT! Join the NATIONAL RICE AWARENESS MONTH Photography Contest 2021! with a theme of "Be RICEponsibly Healthy”
The contest is open to all interested photo enthusiasts in MiMaRoPa region.
A contestant may submit one (1) entry taken using any type of camera. Entries should capture the theme “Be RICEponsibly Healthy” making full use of the elements of composition and the photographer’s own creativity in presenting the subject of the photo.
Photos should be taken within the prescribed period only. Participants/Contestants must like/follow and share the facebook page of ATI MiMaRoPa.
A. Submission of Entries
Participants must accomplish the Online Photo Contest Registration Form thru a given google form link:

The form includes the information of participant along with the raw and edited photo in form of either jpeg or png file of their entry, its title and brief description or caption. All entries must be an original creation and post processing/enhancement of image is limited only to cropping, color enhancement, including shadow and highlights only. Photo manipulation is not allowed. The photo must not contain any copyrighted materials, watermarks or any text on it.
Photographs grabbed from the internet will be automatically disqualified.
Accepting of entries is on November 4, 2021 until November 10, 2021. Just send the entry/photo at pass_mimaropa@ati.da.gov.ph. All entries submitted shall be final and cannot be edited.
Official entries will be posted at ATI-MIMAROPA facebook page on November 11, 2021. All entries will be judged using the number of “heart” reaction. That is why every participant is encouraged to promote their work. The voting of entries is until November 24, 2021.
Announcement and awarding of winners will be on November 26, 2021 via facebook live.
B. Title and Description of Photo
Title of photo should be creative and catchy and depicts what the picture is trying to tell. It should also be in consonance with the theme of the photo contest. Moreover, participants should include a brief description or caption of their entry. The title and description will also be considered in the judging of entries.
C. Naming of Entry
All entries must be submitted in the following filename format:
TITLE OF ARTWORK_Initial of First Name and Full Last Name.jpg or
TITLE OF ARTWORK_Initial of First Name and Full Last Name.png
Example: An artwork titled Spoliarium by Juan Luan must have the filename, SPOLIARIUM_JLuna.jpg or SPOLIARIUM_JLuna.png
D. Intellectual Property
All participants should affirm that their submission is their own original work by checking the box in the Declaration of Original Work portion of the registration form. Upon submission of their artwork, they are also authorizing ATI MiMaRoPa to post their work in the official facebook page of ATI MiMaRoPa and use the photo for free for whatever purpose and for whichever form as may be deemed necessary by ATI MiMaRoPa, except for commercial purposes.
E. Criteria for Judging

Originality/Creativity and Uniqueness 35%
Relevance to the Theme 30%
Unity of Composition of Elements/ Visual Impact 20%
Message/Description of the photograph 15%
TOTAL 100%
As contained in the mechanics, participants should include a title and brief description of their entry. This shall be considered in the judging process. Rating of entries per criterion shall be the sole discretion of the judges. Furthermore, after adding the judges’ decisions, result of the contest is final and irrevocable.
F. Prizes
The top 4 highest scorers, based on the mean score accumulated from the scores given by the judges shall be declared winners of the competition. The highest scorer shall receive the First Prize, 2nd highest scorer will receive the Second Prize and the 3rd highest scorer shall receive the Third Prize while the 4th highest scorer shall receive the Fourth Prize. The entry that accumulates the highest number of reactions (heart emoticon) during the prescribed period shall receive the People’s Choice Award. The following shall be the prizes that will be received by the winners:
First Prize: Php 2,000 worth of load + Certificate
Second Prize Php 1,500.00 worth of load + Certificate
Third Prize Php 1,000.00 worth of load + Certificate
Fourth Prize PhP 1,000.00 worth of load + Certificate
People’s Choice Award Php 500.00 worth of load + Certificate
