The Agricultural Training Institute launches the Farmers Information and Technology Services (FITS) Center in the Municipality of Bansud, Oriental Mindoro on February 15,2021. FITS Bansud which will be managed by the Municipal Agriculture Office headed by Engr. Sonny Boy Manato, Municipal Agriculture Officer, is the 37th Center established under the Techno Gabay Program of ATI MiMaRoPa.
The activity was graced by the presence of ATI MiMaRoPa Center Director Pat Andrew B. Barrientos,M.M.,J.D. together with Assistant Center Director Ruben P. Jugno, Bansud SB Committee Chair on Agriculture Mr. Nilo and identified farmer leaders in the municipality.
As part of the program, Mr. Erlan D. Pasana, MPM-RD discussed the features of the TGP while Engr. Manato introduced the FITS Staff among the attendees of the activity.
Highlight of the program is the awarding of 55” Smart TV, DSLR Camera, Pocket Wifi, Printer and Information Education Communication (IEC) Materials which will be utilized to enhance the agricultural extension activities within the municipality.
With this, FITS Bansud is now ready to serve farmers, fisherfolk and other stakeholders in agriculture and fisheries sector.
