With its theme "Sustaining Vibrant Agricultural Productivity through Harmonized and Proactive Extension Service", the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center MiMaRoPa celebrated its 32nd Anniversary of ATI on January 28-30, 2019 at ATI, Barcenaga, Naujan, Oriental Mindoro.
Looking back for the Center’s performance and harmoniously plan for this year, ATI MiMaRoPa conducted its FY 2018 Annual Review and FY 2019 Planning Workshop headed by Pat Andrew B. Barrientos, Center Director on its first day.
In addition, as a head start of the second day, a holy mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Willie Abas motivating the staff to continue serving its clients under the providence of Almighty God. After the mass, ATI MiMaRoPa recognized the ATI staff who have rendered their 10, 35, and 40 years of committed and dedicated public service, namely, Christian Bacay, Lorna Palomera and Flora Ilao, respectively.
Afterwards, there was also a motorcade of ATI staff, farmers, and other stakeholders along the major streets of the Naujan to Calapan City. Meanwhile, everyone actively participated as the “palaro ng nayon” kicked off. Green, Blue and Yellow Teams and OJTs battled for “Buko Loko, Agawin mo Ako”, “Catch Me If You Can: Oh My Piggy”, Hilahang Lubid”, “jump on Thorns”, ‘Patintero”, “Basag Palayok” and “Sack Race”. They said that it was tiring yet very enjoyable and happy.
On its third day, the bloodletting activity as highlight for the celebration was held. Various clients gathered together to share their lives voluntarily by means of donating their blood, a noble deed to save lives of those in need. This is in partnership with the Oriental Mindoro Blood Council.
The 32nd Anniversary of ATI is simultaneously celebrated nationwide by the national and regional centers.
