OCCIDENTAL MINDORO - The Agricultural Training Institute – MiMaRoPa in collaboration with Farmers Information and Technology Services Center – Office of the Provincial Agriculturist in Occidental Mindoro launched the School-on-Air (SOA) on Livestock themed ““Hayop sa Kaalaman: Hanep-buhay sa Paghahayupan” at Sablayan Convention Center, Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro on August 23, 2017.

Said launching was attended by 170 participants from the municipalities of Magsaysay, San Jose, Rizal, Calintaan, Sablayan, Sta. Cruz, Mamburao, Abra de Ilog and Paluan.

During the launching, Pat Andrew Barrientos challenged the participants to listen to the program so that they can use it for their livestock farming.

“We know that you are busy persons, thus, we have this program that even in your respective homes, you will learn a lot thru your radio,” Barrientos said.

Moreover, Erlan Pasana, Information Officer II, discussed the overview and mechanics of the program. There was also an open forum to clarify the issues and concerns of the participants and coordinators.

Also, the OPAg Occidental Mindoro, Office of the Provincial Veterinarian and Municipal Agriculture Offices signified their support for the success of the program.

SOA on livestock will be aired at 102.5 Heart FM – San Jose simulcast with 104.9 Heart FM Mamburao every Monday and Tuesday at 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM and 103.3 FM Radyo Natin Sablayan every Saturday and Sunday at 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM, respectively.
