Last June 5-7, 2018 the ATI MiMaRoPa conducted a 3-day Training Course on Cut Flower Production and Flower Arrangement at Aroma Minicon, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.
The 3-day training was composed of lectures and a hands-on activity. The lectures were all about the basics of cut flower production and flower arrangement, including the status of the Philippine flower industry, and opportunities and market potential of engaging in the flower business.
This was followed by a hands-on activity on flower arrangement which was led and demonstrated by the resource speaker Mr. Arvin Jonathan Flores, and one of the participants, Mr. Jose G. Emil. All of the participants were given a chance to make their own flower arrangement, and all of their output were evaluated after the activity.
The activity was participated by 42 AEWs, RIC Members and other enthusiasts.
