To engage all partners in the implementation of School-on-the-Air on Organic Agriculture (SOA-OA) in the province of Occidental Mindoro, the ATI in MiMaRoPa through the Information Services Section conducted a collaborative meeting on June 15, 2022, at Municipal Agriculture Office, Brgy. Poblacion, Rizal, Occidental Mindoro.

During the meeting, the Municipal Agriculturist along with the Municipal Coordinators from the municipalities of Magsaysay, San Jose, Rizal, Calintaan, and the Office of the Provincial Agriculture were briefed on the rationale, objectives, methodologies, mechanics, and course content of SOA-OA.

Mayor Ernesto C. Pablo of the Municipality of Rizal also graced the activity and gave his welcome message. “Maswerte kami dito sa Occidental Mindoro kasi kami ang napili nyo para maging katuwang sa pagpapatupad ng programa ng Department of Agriculture. Sa pakikipagtulungan ng ATI at ng iba pang mga munisipyo dito sa Occidental Mindoro, sana ay mas marami pang maabot at matulungan na mga magsasaka at pati na din mga kabataan lalo na sa mga nasa malalayo at liblib na lugar dito sa aming bayan”, he said.

Moreover, the municipalities involved in the program have targeted the number of participants to complete the 500 target enrollees in the province. In addition, other effective strategies to maximize the SOA-OA reach were discussed in the activity.

The SOA-OA program with the theme “Kayang-kaya ang Organikong Pagsasaka” will be aired over 101.7 FM Radyo Natin San Jose, every Monday and Wednesday, 12:00 NN – 1:00 PM starting July 18, 2022.
