ATI MIMAROPA PAFES Coordinators, representatives from DA-Region MIMAROPA and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources convene for the Province-led Agriculture and Fisheries Extension System (PAFES) Mid-year Performance Review and Assessment for CY 2022 on June 22, 2022 at ATI, Barcenaga, Naujan, Oriental Mindoro.

Mr. Pat Andrew B. Barrientos, Center Director of ATI MIMAROPA graced the activity where he emphasized the critical role of participating agencies in the success of PAFES.

"We are here to guide and strengthen the LGUs. We need to capacitate them in crafting their MCIPs and ensure that the sectors of agriculture and fisheries are well funded and prioritized," Mr. Barrientos said.

During the meeting, each PAFES Provincial Point Person from ATI MIMAROPA reported what transpired on PAFES activities in the respective provinces. They also presented the issues and concerns raised by the participants as well as the recommendations to further improve the implementation of PAFES in the region. The point persons also line up the remaining scheduled PAFES activities for the second semester.
