AEWs Know More on RCEF Extension Activities

SABLAYAN, OCCIDENTAL MINDORO – The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) in MiMaRoPa conducted a four-day training entitled “Capability Enhancement for Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs): Updates on RCEF Extension Activities” on April 4-7, 2022 at Adventure Camp Beach Resort, Brgy. Poblacion, Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro.

The training covered topics on Farm Planning and Budgeting; Financial Planning; Farm Record-keeping; Cash Flow; Fertilizer Computation; and Four (4) Components of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Program.

Mr. Wilfredo B. Collado, Branch Station Manager of the Philippine Rice Research Institute in Occidental Mindoro served as one of the Resource Speakers during the activity. Mr. Collado gave a lecture on “Key Check 1”.

Center Director Pat Andrew B. Barrientos of ATI-MiMaRoPa graced the activity. In his message, he emphasized the four (4) components of RCEF and highlighted the additional funding and trainings for the local government unit because of the implementation of the Province-led Agriculture and Extension Systems, and the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan.

On the last day, the participants prepared a farm budgeting plan as their final output.

The said training was attended by 31 AEWs from different municipalities in Occidental Mindoro.
