ATI in MiMaRoPa spearheads SOA-SRA Collaborative Meeting

The Agricultural Training Institute in MiMaRoPa spearheaded a collaborative meeting along with its partners from the DA MiMaRoPa Region, Philippine Rice Research Institute, Mindoro State University, Philippine Information Agency, Provincial Agriculture Office, City Agriculture Office, Local Government Units (LGU) of Puerto Galera, San Teodoro, Baco, Naujan, Victoria, Socorro and Pola on January 26, 2022, at the ATI-RTC MiMaRoPa, Barcenaga, Oriental Mindoro for the implementation of School-on-the Air Program on Smart Rice Agriculture (SOA-SRA) with the theme “Palay Aralan: Makabagong Pagsasaka sa Himpapawid”.

The activity aims to engage all partners in the implementation of the SOA-SRA program. Present during the meeting was OIC Assistant Center Director Norberto C. Maur and Information Officer II Erlan. D. Pasana. “SOA-SRA partners should commit and give their full support for the successful implementation of the program”, Mr. Maur emphasized.

Also, representatives from the Radyo Natin Calapan and AR FM Radyo Baco joined the meeting wherein they informed the LGUs coordinators about the radio frequency coverage of the said radio stations.
The Center conducted the activity using a blended approach wherein other participants attended online using Google Meet.

With 2,000 target enrollees, the airing of the program will start on March 2, 2022, at the identified local radio stations in the province.
