ATI in MiMaRoPa Joins in the Celebration of the ATI’s 35th Founding Anniversary

With the theme, “Innovating OneDA Agricultural Extension Strategies Beyond New Normal”, the Agricultural Training Institute in MiMaRoPa took part in the celebration of the ATI’s 35th Founding Anniversary by conducting a series of virtual and actual activities on January 25-28, 2022.

With a maximum of one hour per episode, the four days’ online activities of the Center started with the presentation of the ATI-MiMaRoPa’s office facilities and 2021 accomplishments. On the following day, the viewers were informed by the Program Coordinators regarding the training, programs, and services of the Center particularly on Livestock, Coconut, High-Value Crops, Rice, Corn, RCEF, Organic Agriculture, e-Extension, and Regular Program. Also, the topics on “Digital Tools for Agriculture and “Participatory Guarantee System” were discussed through PowerPoint and video presentations. It then conducted the webinar entitled, “Green Barley Production” with Monchito L. Jalac as Resource Person.

Aside from the virtual activities, as a gratitude for the blessings received in 2021, the Centers facilitated an outreach program in Brgy. San Antonio, Naujan, Oriental Mindoro wherein senior citizens were given assorted goods. In addition, a thanksgiving mass was also conducted in the office on January 28, 2022.

Highlights of this 35th Founding Anniversary celebration were the recognition of the ATI-MiMaRoPa’s Loyalty Awardees for serving the public service for more than 5-20 years, namely: Ruben P. Jugno for 20.48 years, Leodigario S. Magnaye for 10 years, Marcelo C. De Torres for 10 years, Lota D. Hernandez for 10 years, Alren John G. Mendoza for 10 years, Josephine G. Darm for 5 years, Jezell DT. Dela Cruz for 5 years and Jean Alexa E. Templo for 5 years. Also, Mr. Christian Albert R. Sarabia took an oath of office as Training Specialist I (TS I) during the Center’s Oath-taking Ceremony.

Moreover, through signing the Pledge of Commitment, all ATI-MiMaRoPa’s staff are committed to deliver its projects, programs, and services for the year 2022. The commitment signing was led by Center Director Pat Andrew B. Barrientos and Assistant Director Ruben P. Jugno.

The week-long celebration of the ATI’s 35th Founding Anniversary concluded through awarding of winners of the “TikTok Dance Challenge” and Quiz Bee Competition among the Center’s staff.
