With the growing demand for hogs and pork in the market amidst the threat of African Swine Fever (ASF) in the country, the ATI MIMAROPA spearheaded the assessment, evaluation and inking of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Bongabong Coconut Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (BOCOFAMCO) on Community-based Swine Production through Clustering and Consolidation Project.
Highlighting the importance of healthy foods in this time of pandemic, the ATI MIMAROPA led the joint kick-off ceremony of National Rice Awareness Month (NRAM) and 7th National Organic Agriculture Month (NOAM) at ATI Compound, Barcenaga, Naujan, Oriental Mindoro on November 8, 2021.
The Agricultural Training Institute joins the celebration of 7th National Organic Agriculture Month this November.

Bilang pakikiisa sa ating 7th National Organic Agriculture Month 2021 ngayong Nobyembre na may temang “Organikong Pagsasaka, Sagot sa Pandemya”, inihahandog muli sa inyo ng #atimimaropa ang serye ng AgriTalk 2021 na tiyak na kapupulutan nyo ng kaalaman at tamang teknolohiya sa organikong agrikultura.
Oriental Mindoro – Young ones and once young. These were the terms used during the conduct of Digital Farmers Program 102 referring to youth and farmer participants. Youth representatives assisted their farmer partner in the workshop sessions and hands-on exercises.
With country’s current situation, social media changed the agriculture method and means of filling the knowledge gap for people seeking new farming technologies, best practices and agricultural advisories.
For the past decades, the increased agricultural production for food sufficiency has always been the top priority as the population is continuously growing. In effect, to augment the agricultural resource-based, it has driven deforestation in the mountains as farms intrude even into protected areas.
In line with the celebration of National Correctional Consciousness Week themed "Magkaisa, Magtulugan, Magdamayan, COVID-19 ay Labanan", ATI MiMaRoPa was tapped to conduct a One-day Seminar on Organic Agriculture for Bansud Jail and Management Penology inmates in BJMP, Bansud, Oriental Mindoro on October 21, 2021.
