Capacitating the participants on the basic food processing in support to child health and nutrition, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center MiMaRoPa trained the 38 Barangay Nutrition Scholars, Brgy. Health Workers and RIC Members of the nutritious and healthy food to be served for children.
To eliminate or lessen the plastic pollution, the Agricultural Training Institute conducted a 3-day Training on Eco Bricks: A Solution to Pollution on June 25 – 27, 2018 at ATI, Barcenaga, Naujan, Oriental Mindoro.
Two batches of Training of Trainers on Hybrid Rice Production were conducted this June 2018. This was participated by 41 AEWs assigned in the promotion of hybrid rice from the rice producing municipalities in Palawan and Oriental Mindoro last June 18-22, 2018 and June 24-29, 2018 respectively.
ABORLAN, Palawan—The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) recently held a training and assessment activity on rice machinery operations and maintenance. This is through the Institute’s Career Development and Management Division, in partnership with the Western Philippines University (WPU).
The Training for 4H: Its Role in ASEAN Integration with emphasis on Organic Agriculture aims to capacitate the 4H officers and members on organic agriculture and be updated on ASEAN Economic Integration. It was held at ATI-RTC MiMaRoPa on June 23-25, 2018. This activity was attended by 28 4H officers and members from Oriental Mindoro.
In support to the upcoming ISO 9001 2015 certification of ATI MiMaRoPa, the Center undergoes ISO Technical Guidance cum Risk Assessment Plan and Quality Objectives Formulation Training-Workshop on June 13-15, 2018 at ATI-MiMaRoPa CAFÉ Hall, Barcenaga, Naujan, Oriental Mindoro.
Geared to increase the production of cassava in the province as part of the food security thrust of the Department of Agriculture, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center MiMaRoPa conducted a 5-day intensive Training of Trainers on Good Agricultural Practices on Cassava on June 4 – 8, 2018 in Roxas, Palawan.
Aiming to empower the selected Indigenous People (IP) community for food security, poverty alleviation as well as capacitate and encourage our 4H club to reach out our indigenous people, the 10 selected active 4H officers and members from five (5) provinces participated the 10-day Sensing Journey to IP Community held in Calintaan, Occidental Mindoro on May 29-June 07, 2018.
Last June 5-7, 2018 the ATI MiMaRoPa conducted a 3-day Training Course on Cut Flower Production and Flower Arrangement at Aroma Minicon, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.
